View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/k6m9xG Job Description: The candidate would be working on the Event Driven Analyst team, a team of 3-4 other individuals that track a variety of price sensitive, event driven situations ranging from large capitalization M&A events (greater than $300m in deal size) to shareholder activism. Key responsibilities would include helping to track deal spreads, recording and analyzing major regulatory hurdles such as anti-trust issues, analyzing the probability of competing bids, and identifying potential catalysts for new situations based on historical data. In addition, the Analyst would help to identify, track, and analyze special situations such as spin-offs, carve-out IPOs, legal actions, and shareholder activism. Qualifications: - Preference for individuals with prior finance experience - Preference for individuals with experience with Bloomberg Terminal - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications specifically Word and Excel"
