Our client is a mid-sized, privately-held specialty chemical company serving the oil, mining and waste water treatment industries. Description: Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for sales in the oilfield drilling mud industry in the middle and western US, including TX, LA, OK, WY and CA. Responsibilities include sales and technical service for existing customers, growing business within those current customers and developing new accounts. Qualifications: The successful candidate will be an experienced, chemical sales professional who combines a solid technical orientation with strong commercial skills. Candidates need 10 years experience in sales, product management or marketing. Additional requirements include: • AT LEAST 5 YEARS IN DRILLING MUD INDUSTRY • A four-year degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. • Extraordinary communication and selling skills. • Strong organizing and planning skills. • Takes initiative and delivers results with minimum supervision. • 50% travel is required • Preferably located in Houston, TX.
