Community bank has an immediate need for a Compliance Officer reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer. This is a unique opportunity – open to relocation / “out of market” candidates. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for: • Oversight of consumer compliance activities. Ensures applicable laws and regulations are communicated, implemented and appropriately monitored. • Provides subject matter expertise on compliance requirements for regulations and laws which apply to bank activities. Reviews and approves marketing, policies, and procedures. • Responsible for all day to day departmental activities. This is a hands-on role. • Participates in development of new risk, with particular attention to out-of-cycle regulatory or environmental changes that would impact the bank’s compliance profile. • Analysis of all data as it relates to CRA,RESPA, HMDA, flood insurance, Fair Lending, etc. • Reviews risk assessments to determine appropriate compliance testing and testing schedule. Develops appropriate standards for testing of assigned regulations and approves unit-specific test scripts. Evaluates testing and testing results to draw conclusions as to state of compliance. • Provides reports and/or summaries of new or emerging compliance issues for both business unit and Corporate Compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience compliance with knowledge of all pertinent regulations. Strong writing skills for composition of reports.
