Mail Services / Postal Affairs Manager Full-time Employee Position Random Lake WI High profile and extremely visible role managing all mailing operations / services, interfacing directly with customers, supporting sales team, and coordinating with all departments in the organization. We are working directly with the manager responsible for this position. REQUIRED -- 5+ years in the MAILING INDUSTRY. -- Management or supervisory experience. -- Extensive knowledge of POSTAL REQUIREMENTS and legislative issues regarding mail preparation and the USPS. -- Knowledge of production processes used to produce mailings. -- Stellar communication and interpersonal skills. -- Must be assertive, confident, independent, and proactive. -- Advanced computer knowledge. ROLE: -- Interface with the USPS at the local, regional and national levels. -- Extensive customer consultation on mailpiece design and preparation. -- Support Sales staff in attracting and retaining customers, including site visits as needed. -- Research, interpret and communicate issues and legislation relating to Postal Affairs and changes. -- Analyze mail and distribution functions and recommend methodologies to achieve customer objectives. -- Represent company interestes in local and national professional organizations. -- Manage and direct all personnel in list prep, mailing, and distribution departments. -- Train Sales and CSR’s in proper mailpiece design / mailing methods to reduce customer postage and distribution costs.
