Vincent BAROUKI posted a job: A world leader in the insurance business is hiring a Chief Operating Officer in order to run their Lebanese Subsidiary activity. He will be in charge of operations according to the Leb group strategy "THE POSITION: Key responsibilities are: • Ensure that the company’s daily activities are run smoothly. • Apply and monitor the group strategy in the Lebanese market. • Make sure that internal processes and procedures are correctly followed. • Implement a highly professional and methodical approach across the country in order to analyse market and trends. • Prepare/implement business strategies in coordination with the corporate management. • Supervise all technical departments (underwriting, claims, life/non life, etc.). • Deal with HR, compliance, financial and administrative supports. • Endeavour in reaching targets and objectives or, in case of, to understand why they are not. • Manage and strengthen the long term relationships with (key) clients by responding to their requests/needs in coordination with the sales team. • Have a constant awareness of the market/industry situation. • Collect information about potential business opportunities, analyses their relevance to the company and follow them up in detail. • Design or improve products in line with the Lebanese market. • Prepare the annual budget by analyzing past budgets and considering other budgetary concerns for the upcoming year. • Internal interactions with: Local staff and employees. Local top management. Group world and regional headquarters. • External interactions with: Local authorities. Customers. Sales agents and brokers. • Reports to: Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO). THE CANDIDATE: Lebanese National - 15 years experience in the insurance industry. • Graduate degree from a reputable University. • Already hold high level management/corporate responsibilities. • High level technical background in term of insurance products. • Capable to work under stress - Problem solving and follow-up skills. • Analytical, pedagogical and planning skill - Hands on. • Excellent communication and reporting skills: Incident management. Schedule / Periodical status reports. Communication with staff and management. Client oriented. Permanent coordination with the CEO. • Language skills for this position: Excellent Arabic and English (Spoken and written). • Two business references are required. At least one is less than 5 years old.
