Knowledge, Skills & Experience • Knowledge of routing protocols e.g. OSPF, MPLS • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP • Strong knowledge of best practice security principles • Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory /DNS/TCPIP • Cisco switches and PIX firewalls (CCNA minimum) • Configuration of VLANs and ACL’s in Cisco IOS • Checkpoint administration and configuring VPN’s • Experience working in an enterprise computing environment • Configuration and troubleshooting of telephony based routings • Design and Implementation of product enhancements to the Avaya Shared Environment • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures • Knowledge of ITIL processes and practices • Knowledge of current technologies in accordance with this role • Knowledge of Project Management methodology • Demonstrable experience with pro-actively managing work and addressing and prioritising demands • Strong working knowledge of current and emerging networking trends • Fluent in business English language - written and verbal • Experience in managing workload and prioritise without supervision. This includes an ability to balance multiple high priority requests Knowledge and Experience of the following is desirable: • VmWare ESX • VOIP configuration and troubleshooting experience. • IBM Tivoli Storage Manager • San Administration and configuration expertise • Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 • Linux/Unix Education and Qualifications • A recognised technical qualification (preferably in Information Technology) plus at least 5 years relevant experience. • CCNA level minimal. • ITIL Certification • Demonstrable understanding and several years’ experience of operations management requirements ** Work Visa or EU citizenship Required If you’re interested please apply directly (link below) or send your CV to richard.snowden@gempool.ie"
