Duration of 1st. stage: 6 months Additional Information: Full Benefits (when on perm) Description: Our Client is looking for a Jr. / Mid level SQL Server DBA. Responsibilities: • Provide design and on-going maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases of varying sizes and complexity • Administer production, development and test databases • Perform warranty change outs/upgrades on Databases and other Windows servers • Perform proactive monitoring of SQL databases to assure maximum uptime and minimum interruption to users of the databases and provide support/direction for existing SQL database applications • Monitor database performance and tune databases where and when necessary • Install, upgrade and patch databases as necessary • Define, design, and implement new databases in conjunction with the development staff • Administer SQL Server Reporting Services Requirements: • Experience working with RDBMS (2+ years) • Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables • Experience with relational database/schema design, SQL query and stored procedure development and enhancement • Ability to perform after hours, shift work, and be on call • Must be able to prioritize workload as well as follow priorities provided by others. • US Citizens and Permanent Residents only If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact me at tim.c@vitaver.com and I will immediately provide you with details."
