Start Date: ASAP Type: Contract Duration: 6-7 months Onsite: On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work. Description: Our Client is looking for a PostgreSQL Architect. Responsibilities: • Provide database design and modeling; • Develop Postgres functions/procedures; • Create technical documentation for these procedures; • Work with the project manager in adapting solutions; • Work with report developers in providing data structures to work with business intelligence platforms. Requirements: • Experience with traditional relational data warehouse data design (required); • Experience sourcing data for both financial purposes such as General Ledger (required); • Experience preparing data for tools like SAS and R (required); • Experience federating across multiple data stores at different levels of granularity (required); • Experience with highly abstract operational relational and XML databases (value pair tables) (required). Preferred experience: • Experience with open source technologies such as PostGres and Hadoop; • Experience with text analytics; • Experience with in-memory BI tools and traditional BI tool suites; • Experience with self-service environments for analytics; • Experience with collaborative BI."
