"Hiring a Systems Architect in Wellesley, MA Title: System Architect / Senior System Admin Location: Wellesley, MA Length: Full time employee Minimum Experience: Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline Minimum Level of Experience Required: 5-7 years of relevant industry experience required Must-Have Skills: Windows, VMware, the Microsoft “Stack” (SQL Server, etc.).  UNIX a plus.  Virtualization important.  VDI a plus.  Security background, “Must be security-conscious,” doesn’t have to be expert-level. Additional Required Skills & Abilities: • Expert knowledge of IT security concepts and best practices, particularly as they relate to information, network, server, endpoint, and application security • Expert knowledge of security systems and strategies • Demonstrated expertise in architecting solutions built upon enterprise-level technologies such as Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, file and printer sharing, IIS, DNS, Exchange, SharePoint, Apache/Tomcat, etc. • Demonstrated expertise in architecting, building and managing highly available, scalable, and secure solutions that utilize clustering, SAN, virtualization, load balancing, DR/Business continuity, and security technologies and concepts • Experience using standard scripting languages (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) to automate repetitive processes • Experience managing and maintaining Linux servers is preferred • Experience working with end users (technical and non-technical) in defining requirements.
