This includes the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. In addition to onboarding new employees, exit interviews and preparing separation documents. The Human Resources Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. Primary Responsibilities: • Develop and execute recruiting plans • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees • Coordinate internal college recruiting initiatives • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates • Administer the new employee orientation program • Prepare separation documents and releases • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees • Other HR administrative duties and recordkeeping This position is an 8 month maternity leave contract, averaging 20 – 25 hours of work per week. QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with general recruiting and technical recruiting • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices • Solid understanding of human resources administration practices • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Proven proficiency is required in MS Office Applications, specifically Word and Excel. • Skills in database management and record keeping • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, campus visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule • Excellent organizational skills • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner • Gather and analyze information skillfully The successful candidate will possess relevant education in business preferably with a focus on human resources. Candidates pursuing CHRP designation or equivalent work experience will be given preference. Minimum 2-4 years experience working as a corporate recruiter is required. This position will require the successful candidate to have their own transportation and a valid Ontario Driver's license. Criminal background check will be required.
