Post Resume -Get Paid by Employers at Resumark .com Subject: Data Storage Specialist Job opening in Minnesota, salary $90,000 - $110,000 kush patel posted a job: Data Storage Specialist Job opening in Minnesota, salary $90,000 - $110,000 "Data Storage Specialist Base Salary - $90,000 - $110,000 Information Technotology - Computer Software Information Technology - System Support Full-time United States - Minnesota - St. Paul - Saint Paul Relocation Assistance Available - No Commission Compensation - No Bonus Eligible - Yes Overtime Eligible - No Interview Travel Reimbursed - No Detailed Job Description Job Responsibilities  Design, implement and manage NAS environment using EMC's IP storage technologies  Provide level 3 support on CIFS/NFS related performance or failure issues  Configure and implement backup application on servers & clients  Maintain backup application integrity by performing periodic upgrades, configure changes, and technical support  Provide level 3 support on backup failures and data restores  Stays informed of current and emerging technologies and trends related to IP storage and data protection  Participate in the planning, approval, and implementation of NAS and backup related changes  Perform root cause analysis and present permanent solutions for NAS and backup related activities  Participates in new technology evaluations, product upgrades, hardware refreshes, data migrations, and application/hardware patching  Periodically prepare statistical analysis for business quality reviews related to the health of the environments  Participate in 24/7 oncall support Qualifications Skill requirements - BSCS, Bachelor of Science - Computer Science or BS, Bachelor of Science - 3+ years of NAS administration (supporting Celerra, VNX, Netapp) - 3+ years of OS System Administration experience (Windows, SUSE, AIX) - 3+ years administration experience (TSM, Avamar, or Data Domain). - 4+ years experience of SAN/NAS administration. - 2 years administration experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2). - Proficiency with Windows and Linux server operating systems. - Proficiency with NFS and CIFS protocols - Scripting (shell & perl) and using SQL to perform changes and queries desired. - Able to work collaboratively with other technical staff. - Good oral and written communication skills. - Strong commitment to continuous improvement 40 Hours per Week Visa Candidates Considered - No The Candidate 5+ to 7 years of experience Management Experience Required - No Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree Willingness to Travel - Occasionally Skills and Certifications (bold if required) - 3+ years of NAS administration (supporting Celer - 2 years administration experience with databases - 3+ years of OS System Administration experience - Scripting (shell & perl) and using SQL to perfor - 3+ years administration experience (TSM, Avamar, - Proficiency with Windows and Linux server operat - 4+ years experience of SAN/NAS administration. - Proficiency with NFS and CIFS protocols The Ideal Candidate Ability to work collaboratively with other technical staff.
