With further development plans in the year 2012, they are now searching for a Director of Business Development & Strategy with astonishing levels of motivation, enthusiasm and zeal to carry out and draw new as well as existing business plans to meet the expected targets and achieve an outstanding benchmark for performance. As the Director of Business Development & Strategy, you will be in-charge of team of approximately 30 professionals and will be solely responsible for planning, directing, organizing and administering all phases of the Sales & Marketing operation. Candidate Profile: • Must have a proven track record in sales role in a 5 star hotel environment with a recognized chain • Must have at least 12-15 years of hospitality background with last 3-5 years as either Director of Sales OR Director of Sales and Marketing • Have a strong, determined and diplomatic character but at the same time remain down-to-earth • Showcase a passion for delivering top quality hospitality • Enjoy meeting people, being hands-on and being out and about in the market • Capable enough to analyze statistical/financial information and make the right decisions • Arabic speaking is an advantage, but not a necessity • Ensure yield maximization in Rooms • Able to establish and implement the Hotel’s Business Plan • Able to recruit, coach and develop the sales team • Ensure that brand standards are maintained at all times • Experience of working in GCC/Middle East will be an obvious advantage"
