"Job: Epic Technical Manager in San Francisco, CA Job Overview  The Epic Technical Manager provides overall leadership and is responsible for coordinating all technical aspects of the Epic enterprise implementation. Requirements Specific requirements for these services include: 10+ years demonstrated success leading healthcare systems implementations, at least 5 years of which was in a role very similar to the role described above Current industry knowledge in the relevant areas 4+ years technical experience working with Epic Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline  Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (strongly preferred) Responsibilities   partial                                                                                                                 Ensuring that the technical requirements necessary to keep the project on track are understood and clearly communicated to the technical team and other stakeholders. Defining project scope (technical) and producing a detailed project plan Determining required skill sets and preparing proposals for acquiring them (via contract, training, etc.) Directing all network, server, desktop, security, storage, DR, AIX, Citrix and Windows resources Coordinating end user hardware deployment needed to support the Epic system (PCs, mobile carts/arms, barcode scanners, etc.). Managing large technical integration issues  including setting up timelines, following up on progress that teams have made to ensure solutions are established in a timely manner and within budget, and coordinating appropriate resources to manage issues. Coordinating uploading content to environments with the application project managers (technical loads, FTP, etc.).
