Manager, Accounting in Hoffman Estates, IL The Manager of Accounting provides technical accounting counsel and support to Sears Hometown & Outlet Stores. Responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of financial statements. Ensures that all documentation complies with company's regulations and professional standards. Focus is on understanding accounting and reporting implications for significant, complex or uncommon transactions, as well as understanding ramifications of new accounting and reporting requirements. This individual will work closely with the Controller, CFO as well as other Corporate accounting/finance Individuals.　 The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing all accounting functions for Order Management Center including maintenance of the general ledger, banking activities, and accounts payable. Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements. Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable/receivable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports. Communicates the business strategy and objectives as well as individual performance goals and metrics. Education Requirement: Bachelors Level Degree Related Experience: 3-4 years CPA is preferred   In-depth knowledge of Profit and Loss and Business Performance Drivers-Position requires extensive accounting and financial reporting knowledge and experience-Must be current with respect to knowledge of accounting and reporting issues-Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to understand complex accounting rules as well as business structures and transactions-A high level of communication skills (oral and written) to communicate complex accounting issues to non-accounting personnel in an understandable, efficient manner-Financial analysis experience-Expertise in Excel-Strong teamwork skills-Strong project management skills-Minimum three years of relevant experience; either public accounting (auditing public companies) or Fortune 500 financial external reporting. http://bull.hn/l/XHR2/5"
