Data Analyst in Sydney, NSW Australia Sydney CBD location   We are currently looking for Data Analyst to work in the Media Industry. Ideally someone with who holds a PhD or Msc in a Finance or Quant Discipline. Role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of channel reported data by doing systematic cleansing & analysis and regular reporting of the data.  Effective performance of the above is key to an efficient and accurate channel reporting & business analysis.  Will also act as the primary point of contact (POC) for any channel data issues  Key Roles & Responsibilities / Key Job Functions: Monitors daily, data errors that fall on the exception list from the structured data convention.  Ensuring no backlogs.  Timing is essential as it affects timely processing and accuracy of channel performance reports. Conducts daily cleansing of data errors through systematic research from available search engines and other data platforms (SAP /SAS/ Excel/Access/etc).  Analytical thinking is a key in successful and efficient data cleansing ensuring relevant data coincides with each other from limited data sources. Analyzing data with standard methods, interpreting the results, and ensuring high quality & integrity of the data collected.   Escalates timely data anomalies especially involving large data source. Participates in ongoing decisions concerning data collections and data analysis. Ensure quick coordination and problem resolution Requirements:  Preferably with PhD or Msc in a Finance or Quantitative Discipline.
