Network Security Engineer in Austin, TX Position: Network Security Engineer – Level 2 Support Location: Austin, TX Duration: 6+ Months (CTH) Rate/hr: DOE   Description/Skill Required: Must have 7+ years’ experience with Cisco Checkpoint/PIX/ASA/Palo Alto firewalls. Must have experience modifying firewall rule sets, studying network traffic flows to reverse-engineer the required firewall rules to lock down an application, and troubleshooting firewall problems in an enterprise or service provider environment under short time constraints involving complex network application flows between multiple hosts spanning multiple firewalls and different geographic locations. Must have hands-on technical experience installing, configuring, documenting, and providing ongoing support for Cisco ASA /Checkpoint firewalls, and Cisco routers at multiple customer sites. Experience in product evaluation and managing vendor relationships required. Experience in defining Information Security strategy and integrating security technologies into corporate frameworks. Primary Skill Set: Checkpoint / Cisco /Palo Alto They must have networking experience Should have good communication skills (verbal and written). Should have hands on knowledge in IPSEC/SSL VPN Should have hands on knowledge in NIPS (Cisco IPS, Tipping point, Mcafee, Symantec) Should have good knowledge in Proxies and email security. Should have good knowledge in Endpoint Security (NAC, HIPS, PFW, DLP) Should be comfortable working in 24*7 environments. Should be CCNA (Security) certified. CCSP / CCSA / CCSE / JNCIA /JNCIS certifications are preferred.
