"Now Hiring: Manager, Acoounting in Boulder, CO SUMMARY OF POSITION: Coordinates the Respiratory monthly close process by reviewing the businesses information and group journal entries in order to communicate timely and accurate actual results to upper management. Manages the Respiratory SOX process including update, review and submission for all Respiratory sites. Responsible for sales analysis, including weekly Sales Flash and other data requests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Management of monthly financial close accounting books and subsidiary records for Respiratory. Management of monthly group level journal entries in connection with the financial close. Group consolidation and analysis of monthly operating results; including income statement and balance sheet. Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information package supporting business performance in the current year versus prior year and budget. Ensure compliance with Tyco global accounting policies and internal/external auditing requirements. Researches accounting issues for Respiratory and develops proposed accounting treatment. Manage the Respiratory sales flash and weekly sales flash report. Manage quarterly Balance Sheet review process and perform detailed Balance Sheet reviews. Function as Respiratory J.D. Edwards expert and work as liaison between Financial Shared Services and the businesses in areas of JDE reporting and training. Preparation of various ad hoc reports needed by management to understand and validate accuracy of business results. Identify internal control weaknesses and propose improvements. Coordinate internal audits of expense reports, p-cards, Dr. payments, computers, etc. as needed DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: May require International and Domestic travel. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: B.S., B.A. degree in accounting; M.B.A. and/or CPA preferred Experience: Minimum eight years combined experience in general accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting. Some public accounting a plus. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Strong knowledge of GAAP and a high degree of financial, business and analytical skill required. Skills/Competencies: Strong analytical leadership and problem solving skills, including superb knowledge in use of information technology. Knowledge and experience with J.D. Edwards. Previous financial statement preparation (including balance sheet and cash flow). Some supervisory experience helpful. Other Skills: Adaptable, strong team player with excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work with all functional areas.
