Sys. Prog. Job Responsibilities :Would join a team that manages our global infrastructure that includes several thousand Solaris and Linux servers, including a 1000-node compute grid, and several hundred terabytes of storage. You would be involved in the design and implementation of robust UNIX infrastructure solutions, including performance analysis, monitoring, capacity planning, high availability, and disaster recovery. On the operational front, you would be responsible for maintaining and supporting production, test, and development environments. You would work with some of the most respected UNIX experts in the world in a very intellectually stimulating and fast-paced atmosphere. The ideal candidate would have a degree in Computer Science from a top-tier institute and 2-5 years of hands-on experience with a proven track record in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and administering UNIX and storage systems. However, we would value real world experience and expertise above all. Proficiency in engineering mail systems, name servers, storage and backup systems, and production server infrastructure, and extensive knowledge of UNIX, are essential. The position requires expert scripting ability, a strong sense of ownership and urgency, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Qualification: B.Tech/B.E/MCA Yrs. Of Exp.: 2 - 8 yrs. Experience Desired: 2-5 years of hands-on experience with a proven track record in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and administering UNIX and storage systems.
