"General Summary: Reports Train Crew activities into a computer system, and assists these crews by providing work orders. Also assists Railroad customers with billing and traffic specific inquiries and communicates with Class I partners when necessary. Duties include, but are not limited to: • Data entry – crew work and customer billing. • Tracing railcars, on and off our railroads for various customers. • Calling customers to notify them of changes to scheduled services. • Communicating customer requirements to local operating personnel. • Dispatch “Track Access” concurrence with local operating personnel. • Handle incoming “Emergency” calls and respond with appropriate actions. • All other duties as assigned by their supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants will be asked to demonstrate the following: • Excellent communication skills • Ability to multi-task efficiently & effectively • Work both individually and as a team • Ability to think through problems and come up with solutions • Attention to detail • A level of competence using a computer (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) • Self motivation and the ability to work with minimal interference ADDITIONAL SKILLSET PREFERRED: These skills are not mandatory but prior knowledge is a plus: • RMI AS/400 Mainframe Systems • Microsoft CRM software • General Knowledge of the Railroad Industry EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Valid state driver’s license." | |||||
