As a Transport Manager you are ultimately responsible for:- Accountable for all motor vehicle assets and optimizing its utilization. To supply Operational assets for the country transportation requirements. To provide transport services as per the contracted terms for the clients of Agility Bahrain using own & outsourced assets profitably Broadly, this role compasses: • To ensure the trucks & trailers are optimally utilized • To ensure that driver utilization with appropriate rostering & allocation • To ensure the transport assets are meeting all local & regional statutory requirements • To ensure efficient repairs & maintenance are carried out on the transport assets • To overview the use of the Micro Transport, Fleet wave & other systems. • To ensure compliance in transport operations (Effectively curtail theft, leakages, etc) • To ensure appropriate service delivery to all contracted customers • To liaise with various govt. agencies like customs, traffic, causeway authorities to ensure smooth turnaround of transport assets • To ensure proper planning & delivery to manage monthly/weekly volumes of customers Performance Indicators (Coordinating, Supporting & Fleet Management) • Optimum Transport Asset Utilization • Optimum Driver Utilization • Delivering the weekly/monthly/annual shipping plan for the contracted customers • Managing the transit & destinations customs clearance for export deliveries • Engaging outsource vendors by meeting the contracted quality standards, profitably • Coordination with Operations & Clients, as well as, Client Satisfaction • Management of uploads on Micro Transport, Fleet wave & other transport systems & tools • Staff management and development and Fleet Management KPIs to Regional Team as and when required and in the standardized format . What we require from the successful profile: To be successful in securing this role it is essential that you will have acquired: • Previous Bahrain/ GCC Sales experience within the logistics/ Transport industry from a Multinational company. • Degree qualifications within relevant business related disciplines will be highly regarded. • Minimum Five years in General Transportation and Fleet Maintenance • Management handling cross border transportation of FMCG goods in GCC • Expert in MS Office, Excel and Micro Transport. • Expert knowledge of vehicle maintenance • Knowledge all systems used in Fleet Management. • Analytical skills and attention to details. • Result, Process and Quality oriented • Customer focused and effective Team Builder • Fluency in English and Basic Arabic Languages. • Excellent Leadership ,Team Spirit and Communication Skills • Business/ Finance Reporting & Knowledge of operational planning and scheduling • Communication skills and dispute resolution.
