They are seeking flexible audit professionals to help staff up for busy season with the potential for ongoing seasonal employment for strong candidates. The client will consider exceptional candidates willing to work at least 30-35 hours per week, but is primarily seeking candidates looking to work 40-50 hours per week during busy season. The work will be done primarily at the client site in downtown Los Angeles. Responsibilities: o Examining financial and accounting records o Asking a range of questions - from formal written questions to informal oral questions - to individuals at the client organization o Obtaining written confirmations of certain matters o Testing the organization's internal controls o Making judgments on significant estimates or assumptions that management made when they prepared the financial reports Skills and Requirements: o A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance o CPA is required o 3-10 years of public accounting experience required o Big 4 or similar experience preferred o Candidates must be available to work part or full time on a regular basis and busy season hours o Strong knowledge of public accounting practices and procedures required o Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards required o Technical knowledge of applicable accounting and reporting standards in researching, completing and reviewing audit areas helpful o Experience leading engagement procedures based on risk, materiality and discussions with the engagement team preferred o Proven ability to establish strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders o Excellent written and verbal communication skills required o Must be a team player, able to handle ambiguity, anticipate and react to changes quickly (flexible with hours and duties) Contact: Cindy Popock, CPA cindy@ccp-partners.com" |
