Sheela sood posted a job: Business System Engineer II (PL/ SQL) -Las Vegas, NV "Berean Group is seeking a Business System Engineer II (PL/ SQL) Location: Las Vegas, NV Duration: 3-6 Month Contract to hire w/potential to go permanent Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only Primary Job Responsibilities • The PL/SQL developer requires strong documentation skills as well as creativity and technical understanding in order to put together a sound set of technical deliverables • The PL/SQL developer is frequently called upon to contribute to project plans and technical architecture design. When assigned to projects, the BSE fully understands project scope, objectives, and timelines and helps explain them to business staff and systems engineering staff. Development work involves technical analysis, systems design, software development and system integration. Maintenance work involves technical problem resolution, and system documentation maintenance • The PL/SQL developer acts as an individual contributor on a high level, a technical expert and a business systems provider. The PL/SQL developer mentors less experienced personnel. The PL/SQL developer contributes to the development of new principles and concepts in a specific discipline and will develop solutions to complex problems. Job Requirements • BS/BA degree in a related technical discipline and 5 years equivalent experience • Worked with Oracle RDBMS 9i, 10g and SQL Server 2000, 2005 • Excellent SQL development experience • Strong PL/SQL experience (stored procedures, triggers) • Strong capacity and performance planning experience • Database design experience including knowledge of data normalization, referential integrity, indexing and database sizing • Experience with performance tuning high concurrency database applications • Proficiency and experience with data loads and data loading strategies • Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting • Excellent written and oral communication skills Not Required, but Preferred • ASP.NET, C#, ADO.NET • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Education • BS/BA degree in a related technical discipline and 5 years experience.
