Contact me beth.larson@hunterross.com "Job: Senior Project Manager - Automation, Controls Technology in Shanghai, China The primary function is to develop and manage a company wide (APAC) program of equipment standards, project management standards/systems for manufacturing site locations, to include: automation, controls, and technology. This individual will overview various groups within operational plants as well as outside resources such as consulting engineers, architects, draftspersons, and contractors that cover all disciplines – electrical, mechanical, civil, environmental, and controls.This position utilizes skills and knowledge base to improve manufacturing excellence in product processing and packaging. LOCATION OF POSITION - The company's first choice is to have the person located in Shanghai, China. They would also consider a person to be located to Guangzhou, China. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –. - Provide project management for major capital expenditures which insures projects are on time and within budget and that the installed systems are fully functional, meeting all requirements. - Provide and support the project management systems across the sites within the APAC region, including iZone, FEL, Scope Documents, Project Scorecards, Lessons Learned, and FAT’s. - Develop and maintain a Controls philosophy and Engineering Standards for the APAC region. This will be undertaken in conjunction with other regional control/automation managers. - Provide technical input (e.g. layout drawings and capital estimates) to upper management regarding potential options for capital projects. - To provide Project Management leadership on projects including the generation of project documents as well as utilizing commitment control documents, generating and maintaining timetables and key measurements, directing internal and external resources, etc - Develop strategies for automation, controls, and technology, which will reduce cost and improve quality of products - To interact with other staff engineers and outside resources as required, to create a cohesive, cross-functional team for the development and delivery of key projects. - Areas of expertise should include; electronics, controls, instrumentation, data collections systems - Establishes standards and protocol for bid packages in order to deliver cost effective engineered solutions. - Insure compliance of all control systems with regulatory agencies including: FDA, AIB, OSHA, NEC, USDA, NFPA, BOCA, etc. Ability to understand and insure that all systems also comply with Country and local codes and standards. - Directly manages project installations and retains ownership through start-up and project closure. - Provides training and technical services at the plant level. - Prepares updates, presentations, and other project documents for presentation to multiple levels of APAC management. - Position requires that the individual not only have a thorough understanding of current, accepted methods and solut... http://bull.hn/l/VGPT/2" | |||||
