Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain test platforms and frameworks
• Collaborate with development team to isolate and resolve bugs and issues
• Collaborate with development team to create QA automation hooks for whitebox/greybox and automation testing
• Work with product, development and production support team to gather information from the application for better and quicker troubleshooting and resolution of issues
• Create test strategy to identify and regress design flaws and single point of failures
• Ensure product requirement is clear, correct and complete
• Provide visibility to the overall team
• Ensure delivered product meets business expectations
• Automation of tests for web applications using QTP.
• Automation of tests for server side components with Java and other open source tools
• Collaborate with on-site and remote teams to meet business objectives
• Perform code audit, identify and report bad coding practices

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in software application development or testing
• Working knowledge of one of the following – JMETER, QTP
• Prior experience with java programming (+)
• Ability to quickly grasp the design and architecture of complex application systems
• Ability or willingness to understand and work with large volume of unstructured data
• Experience writing test plans and test suites
• Ability to create test strategies to test for reliability, performance and scalability.
• Familiarity with one scripting language
• Working knowledge of Linux, Apache and Tomcat.
• Good understanding of relational databases and ability to demonstrate proficiency of SQL.  (MySQL preferred)
• Ability to work efficiently in a Linux/Unix based environments
• Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a small team in an Agile development environment with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
