Are you a BA/Developer seeking a new challenge? Are you seeking a chance to work on an interesting Grants project? Working for a major government department, you will be part of research and development team. Responsible for business and data analysis, your role is critical for all new and existing research projects. Responsibilities include: Business Analysis & Liaison • Represent the team in meetings with IT and other business teams • Provide advice on indicator calculations to the IT team • Undertake business analysis to translate indicators into detailed specifications for the purpose of the IT build. • Undertake user acceptance testing and data analysis to ensure that all indicator calculations are built to specification. • Contribute to the development and refinement of indicators for the project. Data Analysis & Report Development • Undertake data analysis on relational databases, including writing queries • Support the data submission process, data verification and evaluation processes as required. This may include assisting with data cleansing, duplicate identification, calculation checking and other tasks, some within tight time frames. • Development of the project’s National Outcomes Report, including helping select the appropriate software platform, liaising with other teams to develop the report layout, documenting requirements, and undertaking the development work under limited supervision. Skills/Experience required: • Proficiency in the use of SQL and Visual Basics programming • Previous business analysis experience • Advanced data analysis and data manipulation skills. • Excellent oral communications skills and good written communication skills. • Experience in developing and producing automated reports containing charts, tables, and layouts • Proficient in the use of MS office applications, particularly Excel and Access • High level of attention to detail • Ability to work under limited supervision • Self-starter with a high level of initiative Please note: only suitable applicants that meet the above criteria will be contacted.
