"Vice President-Business Applications & Support to work with designated business heads to identify IT solutions, directs the delivery of software development and support services that enhance business applications for customers (Agents, employees and business units). The candidate will direct, identify and implement software systems and tools to meet the needs of customers. The candidate will be accountable for project portfolio management, project delivery, high quality software services, system availability, support of applications, resourcing and expense management pertinent to each functional organization. This role will support Administrative & Financial Systems. The candidate must fully understand functional areas like investments, human resources, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, asset management and budgeting and be able to translate business needs into viable IT solutions. The candidate must maintain current knowledge related to best in class ERP systems, budgeting and forecasting tools, HR/employee database systems, etc. Responsibilities: Strong management, organizational and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple departments and work groups. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including consensus-building skills and the ability to make effective presentations. Ability to inspire others, and achieve results through others. Strong technical skills, including software development. Ability to manage change. Strong networking skills, including ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work on own initiative. Strong strategic thinking ability. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team under pressure. Ability to effectively manage budget and make cost decisions. Ability to operate a computer and related software. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, information technology or related field, or equivalent*, required. Master’s degree in related field preferred. Ten year experience required, with hands-on knowledge, software development and management experience in a software development environment preferred. In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, systems design, database systems, programming techniques and technical documentation required. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project methodology tools required. *Either of the following is an acceptable equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree: Associates degree plus three additional years of related experience; or Five additional years of related experience. Must be able to interact effectively with various levels of the organization including executives. Strong knowledge of Oracle, Peoplesoft and Hyperion strongly desired."
