Due to the rapid regulatory changes confronting the hedge fund industry our client seeks to build a “first in class” proactive Compliance program. As part of this initiative the firm seeks a person to ensure that it doesn’t accept any information from outside brokers, bankers, traders, expert networks that may be deemed as insider information. He/she will be standing guard to ensure that any potential research or communications that has even the appearance of insider information does not penetrate through to the company. Additionally, the person will also review internal activities to ensure that the traders, portfolio managers, research and employees don’t receive and/or act upon insider information. This is a unique role with a well established and growing fund in a space that will experience tremendous long-term opportunities due to regulatory initiatives. Candidates should have applicable research, investment banking, control room, trading or related Compliance, Legal and /or Regulatory experience. The total compensation will be in the $200k to $300k plus range.
