"Quality Systems Engineer in Cleveland, OH Require a degreed Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) with a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent work experience of 10 to fifteen years in the area of quality control / systems. Experience in the electric motors, generators or turbines industry would be a plus but not required. Prefer candidates who have worked in the Nuclear (Appendix B program) or the Automotive (familiar with PSW’s) EXPERIENCE: Following are general responsibilities the candidate will be expected to perform. Assist Engineering department in creating detailed set of operator instructions. Willing to learn and ensure the proper implementation of Compliant Pro. Should have worked in a demanding environment, where creating, issuing and maintaining revision history of control documents is a critical and high priority. Assist Engineering Department in understanding quality requirements of customers.   Working Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project). Candidate will be the owner of all process control procedures and accompanying quality documents. Detail oriented person who takes pride in the accuracy of their work. Ability to troubleshoot for quality problems and trace back to accurate causes of process variability. Interpret the results of tests (electrical and mechanical) and reformulate corrective action, if results do not meet pre established test criteria for coils that have been manufactured. Work with manufacturing to resolve quality issues on a timely manner. Should be hands on person willing to trouble shoot the causes of product failure (internal and external). Need to spearhead the collection of failure data and analyze through problem solving methods (8D, Six Sigma, DOE etc). Goal is to ensure Permanent corrective action.  Work closely with Safety Coordinator / Committee to identify safety methods are followed with all responsible for quality and identify opportunities for improvement. Knowledge of metrology and Quality tools including Control Plans, FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis). If candidate has experience in the automotive industry, knowledge of PPAP’s (Production Part Approval Process) and PSW’s (Part Submission Warrant) is desirable. Alternately, if the candidate possesses experience in the Nuclear Industry, knowledge of the Appendix B program is desirable.   Quality inspectors (union) will be reporting to this candidate. Union experience is a plus. Should work well in a Team environment – hourly and salaried. Should be able to interface with demanding customers (internal and external) and willing to take the lead for resolving quality concerns in a timely manner (48 hours for first response - which should include immediate action and root cause analysis - and 96 hours – which should include permanent corrective action). Should follow up for verification and Validation of corrective action to close out quality issues. Institute a program to monitor and reduce rework on products. Report to management on Internal and External failures, rework and scrap - causes and corrective actions.     http://bull.hn/l/H41W/1"
