"Looking for a Healthcare EDI Manager in Texas I currently have an FTE need for a Healthcare EDI Manager.  Salary range is $85,000 to $105,000 with some relocation assistance available.  If you or someone you know would be interested in something like this, let me know.  Here is what I know... Develops and implements an EDI strategy to support organizational initiatives. Manages and leads the EDI team including documentation, quality assurance, implementation support, and workflow management. Develop EDI initiatives to implement Best Practices and improve overall EDI efficiency. Ensure projects are delivered on time, to specifications/quality demands and within budget. Apply in-depth knowledge of systems and business to support the development of technical design for large complex processes and projects. Interact with different business units and ITS personnel and translate their needs into requirements. Maintain detailed documentation and process flow of all EDI processes. Communicate with trading partners, software vendors, and internal departments. Participate in project meetings, providing input to project plans and providing status updates. Provide status updates on all assigned tasks using the department’s service request tracking tool. Ensure that the EDI team follows existing source code management and version control processes for all coding efforts. Responsible for recommendations and selection of technological solutions and software to improve and/or maintain business standards. Provide production support as needed (Off hour problem diagnosis and resolution). Interview and hire necessary personnel.Follow FirstCare’s policies and procedures regarding Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), SAS70 Compliance and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Other duties as assigned.  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: BA/BS Computer Science, IT or equivalent and/or equivalent experience. 4+ years of group leadership experience. ITS related management preferred. 7 years experience with Integration software products and knowledge of Healthcare Industry EDI standards and requirements.5+ years database experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle. 7 years experience in healthcare industry with proven understanding of data terminology. Clear understanding & working knowledge of HIPAA EDI protocols. Knowledge of defining EDI implementation roadmap and knowledge of interpreting it to task level details for the team. Strong appreciation of timeliness and the ability to multitask and accomplish assigned tasks within project timelines. Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and maintain cohesive relationships. Demonstrated ability planning, organizing and executing multiple complex projects. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers. Excellent human relations and verbal/written communication skills. Effective negotiation skills. Extensive experience in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft project).
