"Looking for an Engineering Manager - CLoud Computing in Bangalore, India Job Description: Engineering Manager for the recently established Media Cloud Services BU, with the charter of enabling Cloud foray. The role calls for an exciting opportunity in a start-up like environment to be a hands-on manager and lead the team by example. The job profile includes, but is not limited to: • Hands-on leadership and management of a team of developers working on the following areas: • Cloud systems: SaaS, IaaS, PaaS • Cloud Compute: Experience with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) • Cloud Storage: Experience with Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Block Store (EBS) • Cloud Database: Exposure to AWS SDK; CloudFront CDN, Load Balancing Service; Database: DynamoDB, RDS (Relational Database Service) • Hiring a strong team and motivating them to push the boundaries of possibilities • Helping solve technical challenges by working closely with the Cloud Technologist and Architect, and keeping the team productive by removing any roadblocks. • Excellent communication and influencing abilities, as part of being a leader in the Cloud Services BU Educational Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Computer Science Experience: • 10+ years experience in distributed compute architectures • At least 3 years experience in operationally and functionally managing a top-notch technical team 2. Knowledge and experience of distributed compute, Cloud architectures for media a big plus • Cloud systems: SaaS, IaaS, PaaS • Cloud Compute: EC2, EMR • Cloud Storage: Amazon S3, EBS • Cloud Database: AWS SDK; CloudFront CDN, Load Balancing; DynamoDB, RDS • Open Source for the Cloud: MongoDB; ActiveMQ, Mule • Video platforms like Kaltura, Brightcove • Experience in open source platforms for the Cloud is a plus. • Basic understanding of Audio, speech and Video compression standards like G.711, G.726, MP3, AAC, H.264, MPEG4, MPEG2 • Knowledge and experience with HTTP, HTTPs and other web server and client technologies is a plus Kindly reach me on 8951779458 or p.parthasarathy@neweraindia.com for more details http://bull.hn/l/MZ79/"
