"SOFTWARE ARCHITECT Brussels - European Commission We are looking for a EUROPEAN Software Architect Oracle Database Administrator with more than seven years of experience on Oracle and Java to work in Brussels for a multinational consulting firm in a project at the European Commission 1. CONTEXT lNTRODUCTION The Software Architect will work in the context of the IMI project. In the coming years, we foresee the development of a Generic Toolkit for Administrative Cooperation, which includes the design of automatically-generated Repositories, a Notification workflow and integration with other systems (content syndication, public interface, etc.). Other activities include updating and maintaining the current infrastructure. Within this context, we are looking for a professional who will take on the role of Software Architect for the development and maintenance of the system as well as participating in all the relevant activities: analysis, design, software development, testing and support. 2. DESCRIPTION OF TASKS The Software Architect will work on the maintenance of the IMI application and will participate with its technical expertise in all activities related to software development, including database administration and testing of JEE application. The candidate should have knowledge of: Methodologies: •PM² for Project Management (based on market standards: PMP and PRINCE2), •RUP for Software Development. •Tools supporting methodologies: Atlassian Jira and IBM Jazz. Design / Architecture / Technologies: •Up to date know-how in Internet applications development. •Excellent knowledge of JEE and Java technologies. •Good knowledge of Oracle DBMS •Excellent knowledge of Component-based and service oriented architecture development •Very good knowledge of GUI frameworks such as ExtJS4, Jasper, Javascript libraries Security: •Knowledge of PKI •ECAS for Authentication The candidate should have proven experience in: 2 Methodologies: •Use and enforce Software Development and Project Management methodologies. Design / Architecture / Development: •Conception, design, coordination of the implementation and quality assessment of information systems technical architectures and supporting infrastructures •Analysis and design reviews of information systems enterprise-, information- and application component architectures •Assistance with the implementation of the technical architecture during information system infrastructure development projects •Risks and costs/benefits analysis of ICT solutions •Elaboration of guidelines and recommendations concerning technical architecture in software development, taking into account the existing infrastructure at the European Commission and its evolution. •Production of software architecture documents •Development of multi-lingual application •Development of reusable components •Participation in technical working groups and progress meetings •Implement distributed systems (SOA, web-services, REST) •Architect multilingual applications Security: •Implement digital certificates and digital signatures. •Implement authentication Expected abilities of the candidate are: •English and/or French (spoken) and good technical redaction skills in French and/or English. •Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (English and French spoken), excellent communicator. •Capability of working in an international/ multicultural environment •Capacity to write clear and structured technical documentation and give presentations on the related subject Interested candidate send resumes @ jose.sela@ibertech.org"
