MFG/ Process Engineer 158 in Lancaster, PA MFG/ Process Engineer-Lancaster,PA 158 Contract position-24 months Send resumes to: bciociola@covexllc.com The Facilities, Utilities, & Equipment Engineer will primarily be responsible for incorporating robust and sustainable solutions that will improve the compliance profile at the Lancaster site. This individual will focus on preparing capital and expense budgets for projects that are aimed at consent decree remediation. The individual will manage facility related projects (HVAC, Steam, Infrastructure, Compressed Air, Water etc.) from the cradle to the grave which includes preparing scopes of work, leading project design teams, interfacing with internal customers to develop conceptual plans/designs and user requirements, construction management, implementation (including commissioning and qualification),and partnering with site business leaders in identifying key requirements related to: regulatory compliance, utility systems, building structures, security infrastructure, grounds, building automation systems, etc. The Facilities, Utilities, & Equipment Engineer will ensure projects meet all critical-to-quality commitments in the areas of quality, Consent Decree schedule, and cost. This individual will interface with plant maintenance & engineering associates on projects requiring coordination with manufacturing and in many cases assume the role of site technical lead. The Facilities, Utilities, & Equipment Engineer will ensure compliance with EH&S, OSHA, FDA and any other regulatory agencies, to include building codes. Education: A Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline is required, a Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering degree is preferred. Experience/Technical Competencies: At least 5 years of experience in engineering or operations with at least 2 years in facilities engineering in GMP regulated environment is required. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred, but not required. Experience utilizing Project Management methodologies is required. Experience in MS Project and AutoCAD is required. Experience or working knowledge of HVAC, Utility systems, Boiler/Steam systems, and/or USP Water systems is required. Experience reading and interpreting blue prints and schematics is required. Current knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is required, knowledge of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISP) standards is strongly preferred. Current knowledge of Environmental regulations and OSHA Construction safety regulations is required. Knowledge and understanding the following areas is strongly preferred Experience in building effective interdependent partnering relationships and leading teams. Ability prioritizing and managing multiple projects within the allotted time frames and budgetary constraints is required.
