This position will execute and provide leadership as appropriate for global sourcing activities and will be the primary interface to his/her domestic counterparts and stakeholders.  Responsibilities include: The ongoing identification and qualification of a world class global supply base; ongoing performance management of existing suppliers in the areas of quality and delivery; early supplier involvement, product/process integration on new product development programs; and Commercial Management support for defined strategic initiatives.       A global view of industry competency, capabilities, legal implications, intellectual property management, technical direction, specific process familiarity, understanding of process and design related cost drivers, and excellent interpersonal skills are balanced enablers to achieve in this position.        This position will be a member of the Global Sourcing staff and may be hired locally from the region or may be on ex-patriot assignment as required.  This role will help the Manager of the Regional Sourcing Office, establish and effectively maintain the Regional Sourcing Office and related capabilities, contracts, and ongoing continuous improvement.       PART II: Key Results Areas       Cost - Deliver New Product and Tooling Cost to Business Case Targets, deliver supplier cost reductions projects in support of Operation Excellence goals, and help meet or exceed the assigned expense budget.       Supply Base Development – Locate, evaluate, qualify, and contract with new suppliers as needed to support Sourcing Strategies.  Facilitate and support appropriate on-boarding and integration of new suppliers into the H-D and Buell supply base.  Facilitate local support for supplier improvement and supplier performance management of existing suppliers.  Work closely with the Supply Base Management group in the U.S.       Supply Assurance – Monitor overall regional supplier viability including financial, business and operational performance.  Take appropriate actions in conjunction with the Supply Base Management group if risk is identified.  Be anticipative and maintain a broad view of risks and opportun... http://bull.hn/l/OR4F/"
