Post Resume -Get Paid by Employers at Resumark .com Subject: Interpreters / Linguists - Pashto and Dari Suzan Sabry Amer posted a job: Interpreters / Linguists - Pashto and Dari "Brief Description: Our client is a UK based languages and translation services company and is seeking ex-military linguists and interpreters with experience of military operations who wish to be involved in an exciting overseas project in Southern Afghanistan. The positions are on a one year contract, renewable. You will provide general linguistic support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences. You will interpret and translate written and spoken communications. You will transcribe and analyse communications and will perform document exploitation. You will scan, research, and analyse foreign language documents for key information and will translate foreign language documents. You will identify and extract information components meeting military information requirements and finally you will provide input to various reports. To be considered for this role you must be a UK, US, Canadian or Australian citizen and must have an acceptable level of fitness for the role. Our client will also consider Green Card Holders and Afghan nationals who have previous experience of translating and interpreting within a military environment and have a minimum of 8 years residency and 5 years citizenship within their home country. Ideally you should have existing security clearance but if not you must be willing to obtain the required security clearance. You must be proficient in Pashto and Dari in all aspects i.e. reading, writing and spoken. The ability to speak Balochi would be an advantage. In return our client are offering an excellent daily rate, which will include all travel, accommodation, food, insurance and safety equipment required. When travelling between locations you will be travelling with NATO troops. The contract is for 12 months: 6 months deployment, followed by 2 weeks off, followed by another 6 month deployment. Candidates will be required to pass a fitness exercise and will be given CONDO training prior to deployment.
