Job summary • Develop, implement, maintain, and support a business intelligence strategy using Cognos products • Install, configure, and upgrade Cognos server software • Design and implement Cognos report and cube solutions that address defined business needs • Support the development and training of Cognos power users within corporate business units • Administer the publishing of all approved Cognos reports and Cubes for company access • Provide technical support to the Cognos power users • Troubleshoot Cognos related problems • 24x7 support of Cognos environment • Document Cognos standards and procedures • Implement and maintain Cognos security • Interface with Cognos Corporation for technical support • Evaluate new releases of software • Create and maintain scripts • Verify daily completion of scheduled reports • Monitor servers for performance issues • Complete IT timesheet • Submit Status Report • Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned Minimum Requirements • PC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred), strong problem solving skills, strong adherence to details, track record of customer service, proven ability to work both independently and in team environments, good work ethic and history of professionalism, good organization skills, communication/documentation skills. • Bachelor’s Degree in CS/IT required, minimum 2- 3 years experience with Cognos Development and Administration, minimum 1-2 years experience with Oracle DBs and data marts preferred, and minimum 1-2 years experience with SQL preferred, experience with Windows NT OS a plus, experience with ETL and Query tools, 1-2 years experience with Report Writing a plus. • Experience with supply chain and logistics industries a plus."
