We are looking for an experienced Distribution and Logistics Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. JOB OVERVIEW To assist in the development and implementation of best practice supply chain strategy, policies and processes across the Group and its Strategic Business Units to ensure optimal inventory, storage and distribution. To manage the centralized supply chain activities including material planning, technology and process implementation. Reporting to: VP – Supply Chain KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic, Planning & Policy • Assist in developing the Group’s Logistics and Distribution strategy in consultation with the Vice President Supply Chain and with inputs from the Strategic Business Units to support the Group’s overall business strategy & objectives and to provide the Group with competitive advantage and synergy in the areas of logistics and distribution. • Develop logistics and distribution policies and procedures in consultation with the Vice President Supply Chain with appropriate built in controls and authorization levels throughout the Strategic Business Units. Operations • Determine the level of vertical and horizontal integration avenues in the supply chain for the Group to increase synergy and enhance efficiencies and develop initiative and programs to support the integration. • Develop and implement the appropriate supply chain infrastructure and process technologies for the Group which is based on best practices to address the needs of the Group. • Assist in effective demand planning in the Group through the implementation of appropriate quantitative methods in close coordination with various Strategic Business Units. • Develop and ensure implementation of the safety, health and environment strategy, programs and regulations for the various activities under supply chain so as to minimize accidents, injuries and losses. People Management • Manage and monitor subordinates in all aspects including time management, quality of work etc. so that functions of Logistics and Distribution are carried out effectively and efficiently. • Monitor the performance of staff on an on-going basis, conduct performance reviews of agreed goals and competencies and ensure that all staff are working towards an individual development plan. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • 15 - 18 years of relevant work experience in supply chain management, at least 5 of which in a similar role in a diversified Group in a similar industrial industry • B.Sc. /B.E. (Engineering Degree) plus an MBA/Supply Chain certification (like CSCP) qualification will be a plus • Experience and knowledge in local KSA market is an advantage • Should have knowledge and experience of logistics, warehousing and distribution best practices KEY SKILLS • B.Sc. / B.E.
