"ICD-10 Project Manager We are currently looking for an ICD-10 Project Manager with experience in Clinical Documentation to join our team. The ICD-10 Project Manager works with clients to assess their readiness and assist in preparation and implementation for the conversion to ICD-10. This involves leading all aspects of ICD-10 assessments and remediation for academic and large medical centers so they will be ICD-10 compliant by October 2014. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of a remediation/implementation engagement including but not limited to Revenue Cycle, IT Systems (including testing) and Clinical Documentation • Develop a detailed ICD-10 remediation project plan for transition of applicable clinical areas for member hospitals, regional hospitals, affiliated hospitals, MSF practices, clinics, and hospital departments. Work collaboratively with the client to develop the project charter, project milestones and reporting documents to be used throughout the project to track progress • Monitors the program/project from initiation through delivery and evaluates their clinical and business processes to become ICD-10 compliant. This includes leading requirements definition, gap analysis and creating crosswalk plans to meet targeted milestones. Coordinate with data governance, charge analysts, physicians and clinicians. • Manage the work breakdown structure between all project team members to ensure a complete remediation roadmap; estimated budget and complete project timeline is delivered to the client. Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, such as business analysts, systems analysts, programmers, and testers; providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives • Manage and organize remediation activities in applicable clinical operations areas including physicians, case managers, utilization managers and other key stakeholders from clinical care and ancillary service areas. Organizes project activities requiring interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints • Identify and document current processes that will need to be adjusted to accommodate ICD-10 from a clinical operations perspective, and work with stakeholders to identify a future state (including policies and procedures) for those processes. Tracks risks associated with the implementation of system solutions required for the successful implementation of the ICD-10 project Qualifications: • A minimum of eight years of in-depth, detailed project manager experience for healthcare IT projects, and strong understanding of ICD-9 / ICD-10 changes is required • Broad knowledge of ICD coding with experience in clinical documentation, EMR/EHRs, knowledge of the Revenue Cycle as well as IT systems that are used to create, modify or report on and ICD code • Demonstrated understanding and execution of change leadership concepts, consulting assessments, process/workflow documentation, education, and learning validation • Ability to manage people, coach work teams and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization • Ability to participate in complex projects and support activities in related work streams, track and resolve issues and calm anxiety • Project Management certification a plus; Revenue Cycle Certification or IT Certification Preferred. EHR certification, Coding Certification, or IT certification a plus. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with strong organization and leadership skills • Proven skills using MS Suite of products including MS Project and Visio • Undergraduate degree in healthcare or information technology • Willingness to travel 80 to 100% (Monday through Thursday)"
