They have achieved an impressive market share to date and continue to grow through offering innovative solutions to their customers. A new and exciting opportunity now exists for a talented Telco / I.T focussed commercial lawyer to join their Dubai team. This position will provide legal advice and support to the companies HR, Government Relations and Brand & Communications business units. Therefore this role requires the holder to not only have the experience and knowledge to provide such support, but also the commercial acumen to work as part of a fast paced dynamic business. The role holder will be responsible for handling a variety of commercial matters for the company, whilst managing relationships with external legal counsel. Reporting into the Senior Director you will be required to handle the following – • Advise on a wide range of legal matters • Draft and advise on commercial contracts (sponsorship, marketing agreements and customer standard terms) • Advise on general commercial law issues (legal advice in relation to consumer protection, intellectual property rights - including Trademarks and domain names) • Advise on general labour law issues (legal advice in relation to employment issues, and criminal litigation) • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stake holders ( Government Relations, Brand & Communications and HR) You must be / possess - • A qualified lawyer (circa 3-10 PQE) with existing in-house experience of commercial law matters in the Middle East • Have gained experience of working within a Telco or IT business • Possess training from a recognised private practice coupled with pre-existing in-house experience • Possess business fluent English. Arabic is an advantage but not essential • Extensive experience of Middle Eastern business practices • Proven track record in building successful business relationships This company offers a competitive package and exciting professional development prospects.
