This position is located in North-Central Mississippi. OVERVIEW Develop, implement and monitor programs that drive world-class environmental, health and safety (EHS) practices in a complex industrial manufacturing facility. RESPONSIBILITIES •Drive strategic safety initiatives •Collaborate with corporate safety at to drive EHS improvements in alignment with corporate objectives •Implement best in class EHS strategies, programs and practices •Ensure compliance with all EHS laws and regulations •Monitor the removal of workplace hazards •Provide for the training of employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations •Ensure all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines REQUIREMENTS • BS degree in a technical field such as EHS, engineering or an equivalent • Successful experience with best in class EHS practices • 5+ years of increasing and proactive experience in a fast paced, complex industrial manufacturing facility with a minimum of 500 employees • Certified Safety Professional and past supervisory experience preferred • Demonstrated, measurable results in the improvement of recordables and lost work days • Solid, current knowledge of EHS, and workers compensation best practices • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills including exceptional presentation skills to executives • Strong capabilities to develop and implement training programs • Proven success in driving continuous improvement in EHS • Experience using Apollo Root Cause Analysis (ARCA), Washington Ergonomics (WE), or similar robust problem solving tools • Proven track record to bring about positive change through influence • Proficient in Microsoft applications and business software (SAP, etc.) • Detail oriented and self-disciplined with excellent organizational skills • Able to motivate and lead teams to achieve goals • Ability to work flexible hours with little or no advanced notice • Must enjoy small town living LOCATION Peaceful, quiet, community setting in North Central Mississippi.
