"Experienced Information Architect required for contract opportunity. Mandatory Requirements: Proposed resource must have graduated from a post-secondary education program in administration, communications, computer science or an information technology (IT) related discipline. Bilingual at the intermediate level. Minimum of three (3) project summaries, that the proposed resource has a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience developing information architectures (IA’s). Furthermore, his/her experience must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years’ experience developing IA’s specifically for the federal government. At least one (1) project summary must relate to work completed within the last five (5) years. Experience providing guidance to senior managers (Director-level and above) on strategic issues concerning web projects – be it about key activities, messaging, or resource gaps – all within the past three (3) years. Experience working as an Information Architect for a large organization similar in size and scope to Health Canada and health-theme based, specifically where staff and audiences are diverse (i.e. regulators vs. service delivery) within the past three (3) years. Experience working on market research projects (i.e. user experience) within the past three (3) years. Duties: The Information Architect will be asked to complete the following tasks: a) Complete a diagnostic/readiness review for implementing the new Canada.ca theme/look and feel on the Healthy Canadians website IA. b) Support the implementation of the new theme/look and feel and templates. c) Interpret, implement and review the TBS’ suite of Web standards and policies. d) Review the current CLIENT website inventories and their IA’s to assist in project planning. e) Review the current CLIENT website inventories to identify pieces that are most challenging for adoption of the new templates (applications, forms, etc.). f) Support the efforts to document diverse CLIENT technical infrastructures, and technologies used (server, code, applications, etc.). g) Provide input to the project office as needed, on GC WRAP Release 1.0 deliverables; h) Provide user/task-oriented testing criteria. i) Provide reports/findings on user-based testing scenarios, outcomes and provide recommendations on the way forward. j) Support the stakeholder engagement strategy planning activities. k) Provide on-going efforts to support the evolving requirements of the GC WRAP activities, including stakeholder engagement, requirements identification and documentation, and updates to the IA.
