We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead their Dubai store. OVERVIEW This is an Operations/ General Manager role looking after one large store with over 100 staff with full operations and P&L responsibility. The job holder will be responsible for managing the P&L and driving sales for the store through efficient store operations, visual merchandising, customer service delivery, motivation and retention of store personnel and adherence to company norms. Reporting to: GCC Operations Manager KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Effective resource planning for customer service • Ensure regular training of store staff on all aspects of customer service,product knowledge and selling skills • Implements a high standard of customer focus within the store • Regularly assesses customer service standards within store • Create seamless customer service orientation among store employees by ensuring timely and efficient customer service • Ensure customer needs are met and complaints/queries are resolved in a timely manner • Assess mystery shopping feedback and prepare action plan for improvement • Achieve the revenue targets for the store • Achieve target productivity metric (sales per person per day, staff per sqft) for the store • Actively seeks ways to achieve or exceed shop sales targets • Monitor and control expenses (overtime, local,stock and consumables) through efficient store operations • Interpret and act on operational profit and sales reports generated through finance and focus on improving under-performing areas • Monitor sales performance against last year, last week and budget on a daily and weekly basis and to give feedback to managers and also to communicate to staff ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • Looking for a dynamic business manager who has experience in operating a fast paced Home Fashion Retail Store • Ideally high end furniture/home furnishings but will also look at fashion retail and other forms of fast paced retail • Has managed a flagship Store previously • Has managed a team of senior managers, supervisors and a base staff level of 50-100 • Minimum 5 Year Retail Management Experience as a Store Manager • Open to Western applicants KEY SKILLS • Is commercially focused • People oriented / Develops Teams • Team motivator • Excellent track record of sales and profitability • Excellent track record of products and placement • Good grasp of brand standards. • Has completed management studies • Has excellent experience and proven track record of applying business principles to achieve sales and profitability. We are looking for an experienced Area Retail Manager to be based in Kuwait. JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the management of 4x showrooms in their area and ensuring sales targets. The goal is to improve the commercial performance of the showrooms in their area, working towards an increased market share by exploiting opportunities, maximize profitability, increase customer satisfaction and ensure continued business growth. A major part of the job is managing, developing and motivating staff to increase sales and improve efficiency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Retail Administration • Study competition regularly and stay ahead of the competition, send regular feedback to the Senior management on competition • Increase the brand’s market share in the area • Maintain best retail standards in all showrooms as per market positioning of the brand • Ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest level in all stores • Co-ordinate with Customer Relations Supervisor to maintain higher level of customer satisfaction in deliveries and fixing of furniture • Ensure right product is available at the right time in all stores • Ensure replenishments from Warehouse is done on time to avoid losing opportunities • Initiate timely action on slow moving and non moving products Showroom Administration • Prepare stores for events like sale, promotions etc • Ensure that all equipments, fittings in the showroom are in good condition and working properly • Ensure that customer utility areas like prayer room, toilets etc are always kept clean • Ensure that the back store is arranged properly and kept clean • Supervise disposal of damage items • Assist the Showroom Manager in handling customer complaints • With proper planning and space allocation, ensure that co-ordinate ranges are displayed together • Ensuring right mix of staffing across all showrooms • Oversee the scheduling of staff related activities (Leaves, Off’s , Vacation etc) • Train/ Assist Showroom Managers in conducting monthly staff meetings • Ensure that showroom/ shift timings are maintained • Wherever stores are in a mall, maintain good relationship with mall management and get best service from them Staff Wellness and Development • Develop and train staff in advance for future requirements within the area/ company • Train all Retail staff to give a good feedback of the performance of their sections • Ensure that all new recruits understand their job and settle down well within the company • Assist Showroom Managers in Grievance Handling and disciplinary actions within Showroom affairs ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • A strong, motivational and enthusiastic leader • Based in Kuwait now • A strong retail professional with 5 years strong retail management experience • Should have managed at least 2 stores at once (this will manage 4) • Should be country operations manager level/ regional manager/ area manager • Furniture OR fashion retail background required • Degree qualified BENEFITS: • Salary will reflect levels of experience, responsibility and interview performance To apply in confidence please email your CV to michael@frgr.org FIRST RESORT GLOBAL RECRUITMENT Leaders in Executive Level Recruitment Worldwide www.firstresortrecruitment.com" | |||||
