Their Amsterdam office has just opened to allow them to expand into the European market with a particular focus on the Dutch and German markets. Your Job... A Product Manager is required for a new video chat eCommerce website currently being developed. You will take responsibility for bottom line revenue and all product-related issues. Essentially, you will be in charge of all product management and marketing for the website. This translates into making sure they have a high quality product and are doing everything it takes to make their site successful. Product development: * Define the strategic vision and road map for the video chat website. * Monitor the market and indentify the main competitors. * By analyzing existing competitors, business revenue channel requirements and target specificity, define the required functionalities and capabilities in terms of value. * Define the product plan and clearly articulate it to the Web Development and Marketing & Sales teams. * Partner with the Team Lead to define technical views of the product features and provide business guidance throughout the development process, as well as in defining the development tasks under the product release plan. * Identify new ways to maximize the cash return under the core revenue channels. * Evaluate the financial aspects of product development such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. Product Marketing: * Build traffic to the website and coordinate with the SEO Manager to grow the site organically, utilizing affiliate marketing. * Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services. * Identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategies based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, cost and markup factors. * Develops pricing strategies balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction. * Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings. * Work with the Content team to develop and publish fresh, quality content. * Purchase content from third party producers. Product Sales: * Represents the company in relation with the advertising networks, negotiate CPM and CPC rates as well as special campaign rates (competitions, special product placement). * Coordinate the affiliate programs and ensures support for the affiliates Your Profile... * 3-5 years experience as a Web Product/Project Manager or 5 years experience as a Services Product Manager. * Strong marketing and project management background. * Prefer a candidate with Prince2 or PMI certification. * Solid background in eCommerce marketing and product management. * Proven track record for running large eCommerce websites through customer marketing, affiliate marketing, SEO, traffic and website management. * Able to submit a portfolio of websites where you built up traffic levels and increased revenue through various internet and traditional product marketing methods. * Always keeping abreast of new marketing methods. * Self-motivated, highly organized and extremely professional. * Able to work effectively with all different personality types. * Takes initiative to get things done. * Excellent English communication skills – both written and spoken. * Position is ONLY open to candidates with permission to work in Netherlands (with a visa or EU citizens).
