"Our client is a global, multi-strategy, top-ten, well-entrenched leading top-tier hedge fund. The firm seeks a Senior Compliance Officer who will work as the current CCO’s right hand. The position will represent a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a well-respected, experienced Chief Compliance Officer. The centerpiece of the position is the need to proactively ensure that this multi-strategy, top-ten, global firm remains proactively in front of any and all new rules, regulations and changes confronting the hedge fund and securities industry. It is an add-to-staff position created with a desire to ensure that the firm has a best of class Compliance program. He/she will also collaborate with the other senior members of Compliance to help support the on-going multi-functions of the global Compliance department and oversee the efficient and comprehensive implementation of various Compliance projects including interaction with the relevant areas of the Firm. Qualifications: · At least 10 years of investment advisor compliance experience at a large financial institution or hedge fund including extensive experience with the requirements of the Investment Advisors Act of 1940 as amend and SEC registration requirements · Excellent project management skills and ability to work with finance, operations and tech functions to achieve an effective and timely implementation · Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be thorough and detail oriented · Strong experience writing and implementing compliance policies and procedures · Experience with equity trading compliance; familiarity with other instruments a plus · Experience working directly with investment professionals (e.g. portfolio managers, research managers and execution traders) · Strong ability to handle a diverse range of matters in a time sensitive environment To apply please submit your resume to J.
