"The Role: Clinical Content Developer The Location: Boston, MA Our company, a leading healthcare solutions provider is currently seeking a Clinical Content Developer to design, develop, update and ensure the highest quality and up-to-date clinical documentation of rules or other clinical content through the synthesis of gathered information. This is a full-time, work from home, contract position. You will be required to come into the office one to two days per week. The Clinical Content Developer creates, maintains and supports the clinical content of our company’s clinical products, which includes text, rules and code-based content across multiple product areas. Using medical literature review, synthesis of clinical information, data analysis and in collaboration with product management, clinical consultants, and customers, their role is to ensure the clinical content represents best practice standards and will meet requirements for different users, applications and contexts. The Clinical Content Developer is also responsible for quality assurance (QA) of the content in multiple software applications and for responding to internal and external client questions and concerns. Your Required Skills & Experience: You have an R.N., RHIA or equivalent healthcare experience (must have professional license in good standing) You have a degree in nursing, pharmacy or coding (certifications preferred); Genetic Counselors will also be considered You possess three or more years of clinical nursing, genetic or coding experience (CPT and ICD-9-CM) You have two to three years of utilization management, managed care, data analysis, third party billing (facility billing and fraud abuse are beneficial), Medicare billing or physician group practice experience You have excellent verbal and written communication skills You are results-oriented, effective as both a team member and independent worker with attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a high performance environment You have demonstrated proficiency with various software applications, including but not limited to: MS Word, Mapping software and MS Excel You are a voracious researcher with a curious nature and keen problem-solving skills You have significant writing experience and project management skills You are knowledgeable about clinical coding schemes You have the ability to read and understand highly complex clinical literature surrounding molecular diagnostic and genetic testing, surgical procedures, high tech imaging and specialty pharmaceuticals You are able to incorporate end-user consumption software applications requirements into content building requirements You have a basic understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) research principals You have a basic understanding of practice management billing systems or claims systems Preferred Qualifications: Clinical specialization such as, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Care Management, or Clinical Quality Management, Pharmacy, Advanced Diagnostics or Genetics Basic understanding of software development phases/life cycles Ability to conceptualize and build clinical algorithm maps Why Work For Us?
