"We are looking for the Director Human Resources, Newark, NJ (Full Time) Position Title: Director, Human Resources Work Location: Newark, NJ(Full Time) POSITION PURPOSE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Responsible for coordinating the recruiting of well-qualified candidates for position openings by utilizing a variety of resources including Internet job sites, job services, referral networking, etc. Conducts prescreening interviews and submits lists of qualified applicants to Department heads for further consideration. Enters resume, inquiry, and referral information into the requisition/recruiting system, sends and receives applicant and hiring packets, and tracks applicant files to ensure accurate and complete information. Maintains professional relations with applicants, employment agencies, and advertising contacts. Keeps managers and area personnel well informed of progress and recruiting activities. Assigns, directs and appraises recruiting personnel. Responsible for administering all aspects of Client’s compensation program. Assumes responsibility for the effective research, evaluation and establishment of salary grades and pay ranges. Provides recommendations to Senior Management in establishing overall compensation objectives, policies and plans. Ensure compensation activities are conducted in accordance with Client’s policies and procedures and legal requirements. Keeps Senior Management informed of significant trends in total compensations, employee engagement and retention strategies. Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing training activities throughout the Company. Identifies training needs and designs materials including audio-visual aids, manuals, workbooks, and scripts. Supervises and/or supports trainers and ensures that they are effective and well utilized. Maintains and oversees Employee Handbook and training library resources. Prepares the Training and Development budget and oversees the planning and implementation of large events. Experience:- Five plus years of progressive Human Resources Management experience in recruitment, compensation and training related positions. Managerial experience required. Skills:- Strong leadership and managerial skills. Solid human relations skills. Ability to plan, develop, and implement recruiting, compensation and training programs. Good customer service and public relations. Knowledge of related computer applications. Solid analytical and problem solving abilities. Ability to gather data and prepare reports. Able to work well independently and in a team environment. Attention to detail and solid organizational skills. Solid oral and written communications abilities. Ability to mentor. Knowledge:- Excellent understanding of recruiting and staffing processes and strategies. Knowledge of legal regulations involving recruiting and hiring policies. Knowledge of recruiting processes, strategies, systems, and outside agencies utilized in generating well-qualified job candidates. Knowledge of NJ state and federal regulations related to compensation decisions, FLSA determinations, and required records. Knowledge of training and leadership development programs, systems and resources. Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. Advanced degree preferred. Certification in compensation administration desired.
