"Hiring a Network Engineer in Dallas, TX Job Description For years, our Client has been serving customers with cost-saving hosting solutions. Our Client is a Multi-Billion$$$ Publicly traded company with over 1200 offices worldwide! Our Client's technology-focused business is currently looking for the right person to assist in the expansion, design, and operations of their global server hosting and collocation network. This position requires an individual who is able to work successfully in a virtual environment, and who requires little direct supervision. Candidates should be able to work with a remote team, and to take constructive feedback and input from other engineers. Some travel may be required. Our Client is also looking for Network Engineers in: OH, NJ, WA, GA, TX, CA, and IL! Duties and Responsibilities: Work with internal and external customers to understand current and future requirements and develop scalable and cost efficient solutions Research and document new products and tools; interact with vendors on ongoing basis with vendors for the purpose of investigating new equipment and services Performs complex engineering, design, implementation and maintenance tasks on the LAN and/or WAN Research, evaluate, and approve hardware and software solutions for complex problems; work with third party vendors to drive product roadmaps and feature enhancements Makes recommendations to management on desirable additions and development Continually plan for the expansion of the clients network Assist troubleshooting of highly complex network problems and acts as a high level escalation point for Network Engineers   Desired Skills & Experience The ideal candidate for this position will have the following: 5-7 years experience in engineering datacenter and IP backbone networks In-depth experience with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, LDP etc. Extensive Experience working using BGP in a large network with multiple transit providers. Extensive experience using route-maps to influence BGP route selection Extensive experience utilizing iBGP in a large network with route reflectors Excellent knowledge of Cisco IOS Excellent knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and various network services Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated leadership ability, strong team player who enjoys a fast paced atmosphere Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities, commitments and projects Ability to influence and drive consensus on multiple technical views Self motivated, directed and passionate Ability to learn very quickly in a fast paced environment   Education / Experience Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent OTJ experience CCIE certification is desired but not required CCIP certification is strongly desired http://bull.hn/l/CVDX/3"
