They are experiencing phenomenal growth. They are in need of a Pre-sales Engineer to help support sales efforts throughout the Chicagoland territory. Duties will include: • Participate in sales calls, webinars, conference calls, product presentations, demonstrations, and trainings with Customers • Handle POCs/RFP’s • Build and maintain excellent Channel Partner relationships that lead to successful completion of the sales process and repeat sales. • Work closely with the Technical Support team to solve Customer technical issues • Participation at various trade shows, conferences and marketing events as needed. • Documentation of client feature requests and issues. • Occasionally support consulting engagements. The Ideal Candidate should have the following skills and experiences: • Prefer 2-5 years of Pre-Sales experience. • Proven track record working as part of a sales team while providing technical leadership in large accounts • Good understanding of the following technical categories: Virtualization, Monitoring products, Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, Windows), Enterprise Applications, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Network and Systems management, Security, Internetworking and Storage Area Networks. • Good organizational skills and ability to keep track of the current status at multiple accounts simultaneously • Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment • Experience conducting training or consulting engagements • 50% Travel in territory • BA/BS or equivalent required.
