If you have Cisco you 've got a shot at this Awesome Opportunity! in Houston, TX   Sr. Network Engineer The Woodlands, Texas Position Description This senior-level professional is a seasoned talented individual producer who applies an advanced, in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices and procedures. Incumbents are fully competent to work on complex assignments and perform a full range of technical support activities. The incumbent may act as a member of user-support team and will often work under demanding deadlines, operating independently to resolve complex end-user problems. The individual must be able to work within a globally diverse team environment, mentoring and providing leadership to other team members. The Sr. Network Engineer will report directly to the Global Network Manager. Duties -Provide expertise in Cisco routing and switching, to ensure the optimal global network functionalityand assimilate any other technologies utilized to deliver services to our customers -Create and maintain network documentation which includes but is not limited to: Visio diagrams, spreadsheets, configuration templates, configuration archives, device inventory, and circuit information -Assists users to identify and solve complex data and/or voice or other communication problems. -Receive, configure, install, and maintainnetwork and security devices -Monitor network performance and circuit status and independentlyresolve any issues -Participate in team on-call rotation -Operate in a dynamic multitasking environment, where shifting priorities may alter work plans, and includes the ability to stay late or work weekends/holidays to resolve issues and perform maintenance -Collaborate with peer teams globally and communicate frequently -Domestic and International travel to site locations -Other duties and tasks as assigned Required Skills -Have a minimum of 7 years of hands on network experience -Have expert understanding of network protocols (ICMP/TCP/UDP/etc..) -Have expert understanding of layer 2 and 3 protocols (LAG/STP/RSTP/VRRP/HSRP/EIGRP/OSPF/BGP/etc..) -Have expert understanding of IKE, ISAKMP, IPSEC, GRE over IPSEC, and LAN to LAN VPN tunnels -Have a solid understanding of firewalls, firewall rule sets, and how rules are applied -Have extensive telecomm circuit troubleshooting and carrier escalation experience. -Have strong understanding of packet & protocol analyzers, network performance tools, and Netflow analysis -Have strong analytical abilities and be able to think "outside the box" -Understand Cisco VOIP and IP telephony concepts, and troubleshoot/tune QOS & COS. -Understand Cisco ACS / TACACS -Be able to managetime and meet target dates -Be professional individual and possess strong written and verbal communication skills -Be client-focused with excellent customer service skills -Be able to multitask and work independently or as part of a global team Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other Requirements: -Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests. -Must have active CCNP -Desired Load Balancer, Citrix WANScaler, Riverbed Steelhead, Cisco ASA Firewall experience -Desired Knowledge of 802.1x and network access control -Desired Knowledge of Cisco WLC & WCS, 802.11a/b/g/n -Desired Knowledge of SolarWinds NPM, NCM, and IPAM My client  is one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies and a major process technology licensor.
