Experience in an insurance environment or other service industry. Significant experience in: •Rational Rose Professional, Microsoft VISIO •WebSphere/RAD/SQL Developer, ANT, Cruise Control •Java / J2EE (JMS, JNDI, JDBC, JAAS, JUNIT, EJB, JSP, JAAS, Web Services, GWT, etc) •Tivoli / LDAP (or equivalent security tools) • DB2, UDB8.1, Oracle 10G •Mainframe integration to java applications (MQSI, Screen Scraping, CICS, SOAP, J2C, etc) •Source Control Tools (SVN, VSS, Dimension, etc) •BLAZE Rule Engine integration with Java and Mainframe •Mobile Application Development tools (Java ME, Java FX, Apple, Libraries, etc) •Production application support including triaging incident/helpdesk tickets and defects •Water Fall and Agile Project Development methodologies •Production implementation planning, coordination, and deployments REQUIRED: College level coursework or formal training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or related technology certification. Bachelor degree preferred. Experience in/with: • designing, developing, implementing, or supporting complex to moderately complex information systems •building or supporting mainframe or distributed systems (e.g., minicomputers, c/s configurations) •identifying, analyzing and resolving complex business/technical problems •technology assessment, recommendations and selection •providing technical consultation/leadership to project teams • staffing, coordinating/leading a large project team or a variety of small project teams • budgeting and expense control Significant experience in: • mainframe, distributed, and/or Web-based system design and development •database management systems (e.g.,IMS,DB, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) •PC fundamental software tools (e.g. MS Office) •programming languages (e.g., COBOL, Java, HTML, XML, C++, Visual Basic) •prototyping •database design • project management tools and techniques •multi-platform capabilities •user interaction •HTML and web development tools •system development tools (e.g. Endevor, IMS Expert, Xpediter, SQA Team Test) Knowledge of: • relational database concepts • use cases, object oriented design and programming techniques • systems operation practices • security and control procedures • web server, and IP-level distributed technologies • complex system evaluation with full grasp of the inter-dependencies between components IT Jobs in US for (US & Canadian passport holders only).
