Transformation Lead will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of ownership and accountability. Responsibilities: • Manage transformation team to successful on-time handover of all transformed data to separate load team in the desired load-ready format as per data mappings • Build coherent standards-based collaboration, level-set knowledge, and effective performance across a mixed team of SAP and legacy transformation developers • Train and retool legacy developers in use of SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) and any necessary SAP-specific awareness to perform their transformation tasks • Investigate and understand co ntents of data mapping documents, and rapidly close gaps of any details pertinent to transformation, such as business rules, code translations, etc. • Develop SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) jobs, including data import/export and reusable well-documented sets of rule-based transformation queries • Manage shared repository, version control, documentation & data folders • Work both collaboratively and assertively, in tight coordination with on-site and remote data extraction, cleansing, and load personnel and their respective team leads. • Regularly update transformation deliverable inventory, take developer status, track progress, and report status upline / crossline • Perform data intake from extract or cleansing personnel, escalating delayed receipt of source data, as well as any potential risks for timely ability to deliver transformed data Qualifications: • 5+ years experience with SAP data conversion, specifically including SQL query development, rule-based transformation, and source file preparation • 3+ years experience in day-to-day mentoring and supervision of developer • Some prior exposure to Business Objects Data Services (BODS), where 1+ years BODS-specific experience with standards & best practices, repository & designer setup, adapter config, team-based development, and job troubleshooting is highly desirable • Exposure to BODS version 4.0 desirable • Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and writing skills • Proven ability to multi-task and work well under tight timelines • BA/BS in computer science or technology-related field (or commensurate experience) • Knowledge and experience with the MS Office suite, including MS Project • SAP certification desirable IT Jobs in US for (US & Canadian passport holders only).
